Member Weight

RedSpec™ automatically adds LVL beam, glulam beam, and sawn lumber weight to input dead load. I-joist and open-web truss self-weights are not added to input dead loads. They are assumed to be part of the input dead load.

Member weight is factored as dead load in load combinations as appropriate for the chosen building code.
