RedSpec is connected with the Simpson Hanger Selection Engine for real-time, up-to-date hanger information

A warning will now appear in the Design tab if you type in a custom truss depth that is not within the range for the truss series selected.
Fixed an issue where “None Selected” was showing for a hanger when “None Found” should have been shown.
Fixed an issue where not all selected members were being Batch Printed.
Fixed an issue where the available hanger choices were not refreshing unless the user clicks through the Hanger tab (both left and right ends) and could result in a hanger that does not work to show up on the Print tab.
Miscellaneous Bug fixes

Removed the self-weight checkbox from Application load screen for openweb trusses since the engine that calculates trusses does not accept that input.
Fixed an issue where hangers were not being filtered out correctly for the maximum reaction (versus critical) since top flange hanger capacities don’t get increased for load duration.
Fixed an issue where the hanger screen locked up when switching from a wall support to a solid sawn header, modifying the depth, and then switching back to a wall support.
Fixed an issue with the “Shared with me” filter for Search.
Miscellaneous Bug fixes

For trusses only, a warning will appear after clicking design if the application input snow load (strength level) is less than 28.58 psf (factored by 0.7 is 20) when 2024 IBC code is selected.

Dimension extents at flush ledgers now show to the inside face of the ledger instead of the wall

Custom Hangers
- If the cloud-based Simpson Strong-Tie® Hanger Engine does not return a result due to special criteria, use the Custom Hanger feature to display the required hanger in the Print Report

Uniform Wind Load can be input as an Application Load (full length)
- Instead of adding a wind load in the Uniform Load tab, you can now input the load easily in the Application Load tab

- Like Trusses, the user can now input a roaming load on I-Joists and Rectangular sections. Analyzes one additional concentrated dead load at worst case locations.

Concentrated Live Load for Roof Members can be input in the Application Load tab
- Concentrated load is a code prescribed live load that is checked over a 30” square area in addition to dead loads (all other live loads removed). For a Roof subject to maintenance workers, the minimum concentrated load is 300 lbs per the IBC Table 1607.1. The user can also input a custom value.
