Project Information page displays the Folders and Members within a Project. You can add, delete or re-organize the content of a Project. This where you can share the Project with other RedSpec™ vNext end-users and record information about your project.
Page Layout:
Top Banner - consistent across all pages, it holds the search box, displays current version, and the link to your account profile.
Menus and Action Buttons - displays a breadcrum view of your current location within the application and action buttons for managing the content of your project
Project Tree - displays the content of your Project on the left hand of the page, including Folders within the Project.
Project Information - basic information about your project
The "breadcrum" displays your current location within the Folder and Project hierarchy.
This example is telling you that the Project "Example" is within the Folder "Folder Testing - Ken" that is a Folder of within "Home". More detail on Folders can be found in Using Folders.
Action Buttons, defined from left to right below:
Select - this button opens up selection boxes where you can select one or more item(s) and then perform a common action across each of those items.
Add - the Add Member button allows you to add a member to the Project
Add Folder - the Add Folder button allows you to add Folders within the selected Project
Copy Project ID -
Exit Project - the Exit Project button closes this Project and returns you to the prior view, where you were before opening this Project
Project Name: A free form text field. At RedBuilt we enter a RedBuilt internal Project Number.
Project Location: A free form text field. At Redbuilt we enter the physical location of the building site, where the project will be erected.
Designer: A free form text field. RedBuilt enters the name of the Designer who is creating shop drawings and memb er calculations.
Project Owner: This lists the creator of this Project, a system filled field.
Project Manager: A free form text field. RedBuilt enters the name of the Project Manager.
Tech Rep: A free form text field. RedBuilt enters the name of the Tech Rep responsible for the Project.
Building Code and Design Methodology: A drop down field, that holds the current list of Building Codes available within RedSpec.
Status: A drop down field that lists RedBuilt's project status, or stage in our workflow. In the future we intend to make this editable and unique to each Entity.
Projects may be shared to other registered Users within vNext.
Click on the icon to the right of "Project Information", the dialog to the right pops-up.
