Application Limits

Unless specifically noted otherwise, Red-I™ joists, RedBuilt™ open-web trusses, and RedLam™ LVL beams and headers are intended for primary use in the permanent construction of buildings designed in accordance with current building codes. The use of RedBuilt™ products in temporary structures, such as concrete formwork, requires specific knowledge of the loading and performance requirements of the particular application. Products which are initially used for temporary structures are not warranted for further use in permanent structures.

Unless specifically noted, RedBuilt� products are not intended for flatwise use. RedLam™️ LVL manufactured for beams and headers is not to be used flatwise as scaffolding. See the RedLam™ LVL Specifier's Guide (www.redbuilt.com) for design information on RedLam™ LVL Plank. The design of flatwise members or planks is not accommodated in RedSpec™.

RedBuilt™ products are typically used to support static loads. The use of these products to support dynamic loads, such as floor joists in a mobile modular application, requires knowledge of the dynamic loads imparted and sophisticated analysis techniques.
